Alexandra Figueira - Tortosa's W.I.P & PortfolioMy husband taught me something to help me organize my UV’s and I thought it would be great to share with everyone else.
What my husband helped me set up was shelf buttons that would move a set of UV’s over, either left or right one UV unit. Now in my picture above I have grouped similar objects together. Metals, wood, plants, etc all together and shifted each group over.
The mel script to do this is as follows.
To the Right: polyEditUV -u 1.0 -v 0 ;
To the Left: polyEditUV -u -1.0 -v 0 ;
Up: polyEditUV -u -0 -v 1 ;
Down : polyEditUV -u -0 -v -1 ;
To save the script on your shelf just highlight the script in your script editor and drag and drop it onto your shelf.
To rename the new buttons you can go to the little arrow to the left of your shelf and select shelf editor. The second image shows you what I’m talking about.
Hope you guys like it and make sure you take a look at my husbands site. :) He’s pretty awesome.
So I haven’t made it too far today. Played around with the petals on the daisy and changed up the crate. I want to start playing around with the ground next an hopefully I can move on to texturing rather soon. Those things shouldn’t take me long at all.
Not much of an update at all but what the heck.
New year, new tests and new projects.
Started on some other projects and then my computer died. Lucky for me I didn’t loose any files. I back-up like it’s Y2K everyday. I now have two separate back up drives. Paranoid much? Maybe… Maybe. I finished up some logo design which I’ll show once the companies site has launched and one other project is on hold till I finish this one.
Anyways this is just a simple, easy to model, composition I’ve had in mind. Now once I finish up a few things. I’ll go nuts texturing.
My turntable and my textures …

Added little grass sprouts, a leaf and pebbles… now I’m truly done.
Yay, he’s finished. :D It took long enough. I think I might add a leaf in there just cause the base seems a bit bare and just a few minor tweeks here and there and I’ll be rendering out a turntable. :) Happy with the final result can’t wait to start the next thing.
